Started right here in the Pacific Northwest by Tacoma-based entrepreneurs Robbie and Fall, Tacoma Moving Bins was founded out of sheer frustration with the antiquated, wasteful moving industry.
After enduring multiple residential moves and corporate relocations across the Puget Sound, we realized something incredibly obvious: the single worst part of moving isn't the heavy lifting—it's the horrific logistics of the cardboard box. Between scavenging behind grocery stores for dirty boxes, spending hundreds of dollars on packing tape, worrying about the Seattle rain destroying our electronics in transit, and ultimately tossing a mountain of cardboard into an overfilled landfill, we knew there had to be a better way.
We couldn't find an affordable, reliable local rental service... so we built one ourselves.
Today, Tacoma Moving Bins is proud to be a completely independent, locally owned and operated business serving our neighbors. We aren't a faceless franchise or big-tech corporation. We obsess over your moving experience. Our heavy-duty totes arrive nested and clean. You pack them, lock the lids, and perfectly stack them on our custom dollies. Tape is historically obsolete.
